BumGenius 4.0 One-Size Pocket Diaper
by Amy
(Maryland)
I did not start using the BumGenius 4.0 until we were past the newborn phase because it's a pocket diaper and would not have lasted long with a newborn going frequently. Pocket diapers create a lot more laundry than diaper covers with inserts, and they take up more storage space; however, I find these diapers to be the best option for us at night. I stuff the pocket with an extra absorbent
Thirsties hemp insert plus the two inserts that came with the diaper, and we can go 12 hours with no crying or skin irritation!
There are no leg gussets, but that has not been a problem yet. The only leaks we've had were via wicking in back if I'm not careful to tuck it all in and fold over the pocket cover, but that has only happened to us once or twice.
