It makes sense to start learning at home early with tot school and home preschool since we plan to homeschool. What should we do?
I am a big believer in encouraging children to develop their bodies during the early years. They should be learning to move their muscles and refine their senses, not stuck in their heads with too much mental work too early.
I get my ideas from Maria Montessori, Rudolf Steiner, Charlotte Mason, and lots of research and studies on the importance of play!
So you won't find a lot of preschool worksheets here. Playing is learning.
Here are some ideas for stimulating the very young, like toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years, but that's a guideline, not a rule.
Tot School: Under 18 Months
Wondering what to do with your young toddler? Try tot school for learning through homemade toys and more!
Toddler Books
Find the best toddler books you might not know about yet. These are my
favorite book series for seasonal themes, and they can be used for many
years.
Sensory Bins
Exploring monthly sensory bins is a fun way to help young children develop their senses and imagination.
Here are some ideas for doing a little more with kids ready to learn, but not ready for academics.
Preschool Reading Games
