Trying to tap solar and thermal energy

I am trying to configure pieces of ten foot pvc piping into well they are really more cold frames then greenhouse. If I can figure out a successful arrangement I can then harvest beets and turnips year round. Beets and turnips may not seem all that great but you could learn ways of cooking it and and adding organic vegetables as side dishes can add to the nutrition and in the Spring you can start plants. And its all by tapping into this resource. Ill try and post some photos.
